Visa progressing

Just wanted to let you know that we have today received our case reference number!! I have been looking at other members whose applications were receipted around the same time as ours and it looks like it is beginning to shift - hurrah! We are going out on a 136.

 

Looking forward to getting a case officer next, but this at least means we can get on with our medicals, which we've booked for 31st October. Police checks are in hand and we should receive those by the end of the month.

 

Phew!

It's such a relief when they finally throw you a lifeline - it can seem like a lifetime of waiting...

 

Interesting to see the ages of your kids though. We have one of each too, Thomas (just 10) and Maddy (nearly 7) so it might be nice to meet up "over there".

Yes, I didn't realise how stressful all this waiting could be - it just takes over!!

 

When do you plan to make the big move? We are going to book the flights as soon as the visa is granted - everything is pretty much ready to go this end.

Congratulations! Great feeling when things start to move on a bit!

 

We are about 4 days in front of you, so looks like a lot of us at the same stage will all be getting case officers together! We are not booking medicals until we have a case officer. Trying to delay the process a bit as we don;t want to be in Adelaide until September.

Snap, we're ready to go here too - house sold (cash in bank), parents informed and cars half sold already. Should be just a few weeks then, as soon as we know, we book flights and accomodation and disappear! We're hoping to be there mid-November, or just after.
