just wondered if anyone rents or has bought a place in mawson lakes? whats it like?

Good question, one that I'd also like to see answered too.

 

I know that the University has a/some campus out there and there is also a science/business park but it doesn't appear to be an area that's at the top of the list for house hunters - shame as there's some really nice houses up there!

Only driven past on the way to Parafield(many times) and the houses look lovely but a bit too many mossie ponds close by and think I'd get bored with the views of the salt mountains but hey.....each to their own and if I get work at Parafield it would be perfect:)

Good point about the mosquitos - we had a problem with them in Holland, would you believe so wouldn't want it repeated.

We also like the look of Mawson Lakes and I contacted someone through another website who lived there and she said it is lovely but you dont get alot of land with your house. Some of the houses are quite close so not much in the way of gardens.

 

A few people have also said some of the houses are a bit "Footballers Wives", but with a name like Shearer we are gonna have to live there then!!!!!!!!

We are going to definatly consider it for a rental if we can get one!
