parent migration advice needed

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone can offer advice on parent migration. My mother is 62 and my father recently died, so she wants to come out and live with us and we have looked into this. We find it confusing and expensive and think the only way she can do it is on the contributory parent visa (very expensive and takes unto 2 years) Has anyone had experience or advice on how to get it cheaper and faster etc? Thanks

Use the toolbar at the top of your page and do a search for Parent Visa. You will find several quite detailed and useful threads as this has been a bit of a 'hot topic' lately and you will find lots of information posted by people who are involved in the process.

Hiya,

Have a look into aged parent visa's. Don't know all the ins and outs but she would have to wait till she is 64 but it could end up being quicker and cheaper, there was a recent post on here about it, have a look through migration issues see if you can find it.
