Hi,

we aren't going out yet, but i spoke at length with Anglo-Pacific who seemed not to be the cheapest but certainly had the most thorough and professional service and sales pitch. Also check www.voovit.com (i think), they specialise in overseas but not major moves. Where our thinking is twe are planning on doing the big stuff in half a container and trying to ship some boxes wit hvoovit as they seem very cheap and are a cost effective way of sending smaller boxes and splitting the cost. there are so many companies out there, just ring around for estimates and quotes, this has proved to be the most beneficial so far for us.......cannot wait until the removal becomes reality though!!

GOOD LUCK

We used Robinson's in the UK and their agents in Oz are Wridgways. They were terrific and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Best of luck with the move.

Hi, Pickfords are good, as are most of the UK agents, but some of the Oz agents are not so good. Our UK agents used Grace and they were AWFUL!!!! Our stuff was delayed for weeks and the communication was dreadful! Kent are supposed to be good over here, but definitely stay away from Grace! I've heard a few bad stories about them! Best of luck with your move :)

0/10 for the first company you mentioned.. We had chosen them and had a wonderful fantastic phonecalls from them.. thought WOW what great service/company, great priced etc.... our stuff took 16.5 weeks to arrive. we were quoted 12 at the most, but usually 8-10 weeks. Horrible/Bitchy customer service when we complained.

Some minor damage but after the stresses of all the correspondence regarding our shipment we decided to be grateful our things turned up in the end.

Allied Pickfords would have been our first choice but was a only a hundred pounds more expensive so went with cheapest quote.. BIG mistake. Wished we went with Pickfords.

Hi, we are going to choose our shipping company in the next week or two. We have had three quotes, Pickfords, John Mason and PSS. We need a 20ft container and the quotes all came in between £3500/£4000. John Mason were the cheaper quote and we think we will use them due to the better options they provide, one of them being they load the container outside the house!

And last thing after doing some research on line we found a certain company were all nicey nicey until they had your money and then everything starts to go downhill so we stayed well clear of them!

Good Luck and roll on the 1st May

We used john masons, good at both ends, cheapest, arrived in 10 weeks with no problems and no breakage, just loads and loads of packaging to get rid of.

We used anglo pacific, they had the most thorough and professional sales pitch which we fell for, after that well I am not allowed to comment incase the site gets sued but there have been recent previous posts from those that received poor service

Hi we used Whites, we arrived in August and our stuff took less time to come over than we had originally been quoted. Whites used Kents as their agents here and they were great too. No breakages and very good service/ communication from Whites and their agents too.

G'Day

I can't make a personal recommendation, but several people on A.N.Other forum have recommended PSS. Might be worth at least asking them.

PSS was the other one that I had contacted and hadn't remembered. The lady I had been e-mailing has been very efficient in any communication I have had with her thus far
