      Parent Visas

      Hi Everyone,

Can anyone giveme any hope. We have been here almost 2 years and will be applying for our permanent visa in July. My parents have just been here for a holiday and didn't want to go home. My problem is the balance of family. I have 2 brothers in the UK.

Is this a requirement for all parent visas? My mum and dad will be 60 this year but they are both still able to work although I don't think their skills would get them over and they are over 45. My dad was in the army for 24 years and is now a hgv driver. They have no savings but my dad gets an army pension.

Can anyone give me any hope.

Unfortunately, unless your parents pass the Balance of Family Test, ie they must have at least half their children in Australia, then they are not eligible for a parent visa
