How long do you have before activating visas 176. I think I read somewhere that You have 12 months is this correct.

I think you are right, I am sure you have to activate within 12 months. Think you might be out there before that, dont you.

our agent told us thats its 12 months from the date of your medical/police check - whichever one was 1st

I hope so need the house to sell 1st though. Don't want to have to worry about letting the house out whilst I'm lounging on the beach in my budgie smugglers.

Hope to be over around October and looking to settle around Port Noarlunga.

It can sometimes be 6 months if you get a category b on your meds like we did.

Hubby got a cat b in our meds in february, got visa beginning of may..had to be in oz by the beginning of september.

What does it mean cat B on your meds? Thanks.

Cat a= pass medical

Cat b = pass medical but you will need to report to medicare and be monitored.

Hubby had a shadow on his lung which showed up on his x-ray. Had to have an x-ray every 6 months for 2 years just to see if it got any bigger. It didn't. We only had 6 months to validate visa instead of the normal 12 months.
