176 application and self employed

Hi, was just wondering, my husband has been selfemployed as a wall and floor tiler for the past 5 years. That was also when he started to be a tiler and was in IT before that. As proof for the 176 visa app, he needs to do a stat dec and send in some references from his clients. How many refs of clients does he need? Say two or three of each year going back for the 5 years or all of them if possible? Of course we will have to send other details like his accountant's letter and tax reports, but was just wondering how many client refs will proof he is very skilled and they were thrilled to bits?

Hi when I did vetassess I think I listed around 6 jobs with clients names and address.

Also I sent a letter from my accountant saying how long I had been trading.

Jason had letters from his suppliers for tools and materials etc to say held an account and that paid on time etc (2). He had references from customers(3), we had pictures of him doing the work, and four references from big roofing companies that he had worked for which also detailed their history in the community, what they did and how long they had been trading etc. We also had character references plus the stat dec and various ones from others that Jason had worked for for over 20 years. I'd work on the basis that get as many as poss. Just be aware that he will need a licence to trade as well (only happens in South Australia) if he wants to be self employed here. Hope this helps.
