It's exciting to hear you're a farrier as I used to have horses but gave it up when I was about 15, except have the very occasional ride on friends horses. Am considering getting back into it when in oz as I do miss it but just not got the time or money for it to be part of my life anymore. Also, I dont want to go to a riding school once a week as I got to a pretty good level of riding! I'm sure you will be able to find work but I guess it will take a bit of time building up customers. Are you planning to go round yards & riding schools offering your services? Maybe we will cross paths over there - if I ever get back into horses I'll be happy to recommend you.
Brave decision to live separately for six months but sounds like a good idea if you get to keep your house and I'm sure you'll be glad you did it.
Do you have horses/ride yourself or just a farrier as a job? By the way is there a difference between a farrier and a blacksmith (is it that the blacksmith makes the shoes & the farrier fits them)?
