Help please

Dear friends,

 

I have already got my PR visa subclass 176 to South Australia and would like to know whether it's mandatory to be in SA as my initial entry in Australia or I can be in another state for a few months before my entrance. I have a family who have serious health problems actually and I need to visit her before I move permanently to Adelaide.

Please advise ASAP.

I'm pretty sure your visa is activated as soon as you enter Australia, whichever airport or port you enter by.

Not realy sure but i would think it would be south australia you would have to go to first to activate visa for that state. i would call the diac and ask them , thats your best option as they are the experts.

thats a good question...i was thinking about this too because I thought it would prob be cheaper to fly into somewhere like SYdney or Melbourne. would be interested in hearing what you find out!
