Today is the day we had our 176 SA SS Visa granted!!!!

 

Soooooo Happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

It's been such a long time coming! We started this whole process in September 2008, and seemed to hit every red light along the way!!

But we finally submitted our application at the beginning of September 2010...and 7 months 2 weeks later, we have our golden ticket!!!

 

This has been the most stressful few years for both of us, just putting our lifes here in the UK on hold for 3 years in order to achieve our dream!! But at last we have done it!

 

We need to sell up, but as soon as that is sorted....we are straight on a plane to SA!!

 

Congratulations to all who have had their visas recently, especially those, who like us have been waiting for what seems like forever!

Good luck to all those who are still waiting...keep positive, your day will come...and it will be an awesome one!!

Congratulations to you both. When did you have your meds?? We are currently waiting for our visas but each day that passes seems like forever. Like you we have been trying to get our visas for 3 years. Its been a long old road. Enjoy your celebrations and hopefully we too will be celebrating shortly.

We had our meds on 24th March. Hubby's all finalised on 1st April, mine were referred but finalised by 6th April...we thought we'd hear back sooner after everything was finalised...but better late than never!

Congratulations, we have had 1 set of meds refered aswell but ours are taking ages (18 days now from refered). Hopefully we wont be to long now.

Congratulations....know what you mean about waiting for the final nod to say you have the visa...am sat at the edge of my phone every morning waiting for the agent to call....just cant seem to wait any longer....!!

Congratulations to you all! Your story seems to reflect so many on the forum. I pray for happy endings for us all - soon!!!!

 

We dropped our house price quite a bit to sell, but as our lawyer said "do you want to get on with the rest of your life or wait for another offer that might not come?" He's very sensible!!!
