Hi all, was just wondering for all those hairdressers/barbers already in SA and either employed or self employed, have you had to undergo any skills recognition or anything before being able to work? I know hairdressers are not licenced but just wondered if there is any need for certification or anything to prove you can work in your trade? Just worried in case I've missed something:goofy:

Nobody at all? I have even emailed the skills recognition service to ask. Did this on 30th May haven't heard a bean from them, getting a little stressed about it now, surely there are some uk qualified hairdressers working in their trade out there somewhere who can help me resolve this?

Hi,

as long as you can prove your skills working in a salon should not be an issue. You can however if you wanted to educate here, get RPL simply by going through a tafe etc.

If you are looking for work please let me know. i have a cutting salon in Tanunda, Adelaide. Kelly : You can PM me if you want.
