I find that insulting...........
LOL Squareman - you obviously haven't been there...or you might find it flattering!!
I do miss a decent bottle of Chablis though. (I may have mentioned this already - Just sometimes I miss it more than others!)
Sometimes the grass will appear greener on the other side because it has been fertilised by bull****
Things I miss:
English country pubs, countryside, snow,
Christmas in winter, thOse crisp frosty
days with blue skies, chocolate hobnobs, London-
Specifically art, theatre, Camden, gigs, gay scene... Waitrose and m&s
food, central heating, BBC, Cadbury, proximity
to Europe, Paris weekends.
Things I'd miss horribly if I left Adelaide/Aus: sun, swimming in the ocean, amazing non-crowded beaches, affordable fine dining, wineries, amazing local wine, camping in places like the Flinders Ranges, winter nights in front of the fire with the girls at the Wheatsheaf hotel, cheap fast food style sushi everywhere, kangaroos, incredible sunsets at the bay, being able to afford to live so close to the beach, BBQ's, great seafood, Wayville farmers market, winter beach walks, Tanapa Thai on Jetty Road Glenelg, Chris Liley comedy, Adelaide Fringe festival, weekends in Robe at the beach house, lovely outdoor
Swimming pools, Maggie Beer food, Australian warm hospitality/a refreshingly different approach to entertaining at home. Phew!
