Hi to you PIA experts,

I was wondering the time scale from sending my DIACs application to getting a CO, to meds and police checks etc, i know this must be a stab in the dark, because im sure all applications are assessed their our own case/merits, but sorry i just needed to ask the question, im not being impatient just simply unsure of what happens next.:confused:

Thanks all Gary

Hi diggerlcfc,

my application was sent on the 28th march and I had a CO on the 18 April.Due to my agent not receiving an email from them it was May when we actually received it.I had to send for my police checks from there and that took about 2 weeks. You then have to arrange your medical appointments.Due to me being in scotland there was a waiting list and mines are booked for Tuesday.Once you get clear medicals and Xrays I don't think it takes too long after that.I hope this helps.Good luck to you all with your application :-)

Hi Lesley

Thanks for your reply, I will just have to sit back and wait now for a CO to be allocated to us, good luck on Tuesday, keep in touch and lets us know how you get on with your app

Hi Gary, keep an eye on your online application as thats how I found out that I had a case officer. My agent hadn't received the initial email from the case officer so had to investigate it further.

keep in touch :-)

Hi

It took approx 3 weeks from when we lodged our 176 to get our case officer...he attached an email requesting meds and police checks.

We have booked our meds for july and waiting for the police checks to come back. We've seen CO granting visas not long after the meds/checks have been finalised. So the process is pretty quick at the moment!

p.s we are not using an agent

Cant beleive how quick it moves once CO assigned - in less that 4 weeks we have had police checks and med approved and sent to Oz today. Just need to send everthing to CO tomorrow.

Very scary......
