Hi Guys

We were going to wait until next year to start the application process but have decided to start sooner (reson being that the husb will be 40 next year - please don't laugh at the poor soul - so those extra 5 points may well come in handy if we apply while he's still in his 30s).

Can anyone recommend a decent agent? And how much money do you think we should expect to fork out?

All help greatfully received!!! Thank you :v_SPIN:

Hi there,

We use Bird Migration. Cheryl Bird is an expat living in Brisbane and she was very attentive. She made the process really easy for us. Her fee's were $2500 aus dollar and you pay $1900 ( I think for Visa) Our TRA was $300.00. Then there was medicals £650.00 for 2 adults and 2 Kids. I think the Police checks were £30.00. Her email is : info@ozmigrationagency.com.au

Wishing you well

R its not his fault his old are you waiting in the hope he'll get OAP rates? ha ha.

We are using Concept Australia south but they do have offices up north. Must say they are good and we have been very happy with them, very friendly and are quick to answer my questions (god there has been loads of them). We paid just under 1500 quid but you can pay in 3 instalments. Which comes in handy with all the other bits you have to pay out for.

Hope this helps?

Good luck

We (Traci and Matt) used visa-go. www.visa-go.com

They were very good have a no visa no fee policy. Total cost inclusive of agents fee, VAT, TRA, medicals and Visa application was £3500 or thereabouts and eighteen months approx from one end to the other. Hope that helps. Darren Chatt is the man behind visa go and oversees everything. We were pleased, their good reputation seems justified to me.

Hope this helps. Welcome to the rollercoaster, buying a ticket ensures an interesting future...

Hi

We are using visa-go as well. We are very impressed with them. Like previous post Daren Chatt is your man and is very good.

Even when you get a bit worried he still reassures you and helps you through the process.

We have just lodged our Visa app and awaiting medicals and police checks. This has probably taken around 8 months but we have been a little slow and also had problems with getting our references.

Good Luck

Thanks everyone for all that useful info - how did people ever manage to do all this stuff without forums like this one???

PS Tine&Steve: the OAP managed to fall down the stairs and reckons he'll be safer in a low-level house once in Oz. Or do they do Stannah stairlifts over there.....? ;)
