Skills Recognition

Hi All,

 

Before I ask my question I think it best to give a bit of background on my situation.

 

As some of you are aware I am an Aussie living in the UK and the family and I are in the process of getting my OH visa - well I say process we have filled the form in but are not sending until we get back off holiday in August. Anyway, once we have the partner visa we will be flying to pastures new and starting our new life.

 

Now for the last 20 years I have been working in the UK Government and my last 11 years have been as a Business Analyst/Functional Requirements writer. However, before I joined the Civil Service I was a Greenkeeper for 3 years. 2 years working on a golf course and one year doing a National Certificate in horticulture specialising in Greenkeeping and Groundsmanship (just rolls off the tongue). This is where my question is:

 

Is there anyway in finding out (preferably at no cost) whether my Greenkeping qualification would be worth anything in Oz? If so, where do i need to look etc.?

 

The reason for asking is that I am just trying to cover all bases job wise before we live Blighty.

 

Any advice/help would be very much appreciated.
