Visa concerns with medical condition

Hi Chris,were new to the forum only posted once before,but were now just about to begin our visa journey,and are terrified,been a dream of ours for years and at the point now of either getting on with it and giving it a go or shutting up and forget it!!! have just read about your wife having crohns,my husband also has crohns and is one thing we are concerned about with regards of getting the visa and costs of medication whilst over there,the company who will be dealing with our visa have said there should be no problem in getting it,just worried it will get in our way.Any info on this would be really apriciated!! I don't know about the medical for the visa others on here will have a better idea.

 

I have a couple of medical conditions and have just found out that most employers in Oz require you to have a medical which from my families point of view has put a whole new light on our new adventure. Even though I don't have more sick leave than any other person they will evidently look upon you as more of a risk and more likely to have more sick leave. Trying to find out from some agencies what the score is and hopefully we will hear something from them, although they aren't very good at answering questions like this Well more like they can't be bothered

 

Anyway, thought I'd mention it as you may want to see whether you can get a definitive answer on the way an employer would look upon your condition before going any further.

Hi, don't worry about crohns it's fine. We took a specialist report to the medicals and they were more then happy the meds for the wife never even got referred just straight through (unlike mine for high blood pressure) as for costs well we pay for prescriptions here so it does not matter. Yes they will be a bit more but aisathiopran is not expensive anyway and it's not all about cost. If you want any more in depth info just send me a pm.
