3 day update

Hi all

We have been here for 3 days and we are loving this place even more than we imagined. We are quite shocked at just how beautiful this place is and we have so far visited Morphett Vale, Flagstaff Hill, the CBD, Kurralta Park, Brighton and Port Noarlunga - those last two beaches are just stunning and we have spent the last 2 evenings there watching the sun go down sharing some chips on the beach, it's SO beautiful and the weather is perfect and at long last it feels like all the stresses and saving money, paperwork and all the rest of the 'stuff' to sort out has all been worth the wait.

We viewed a house in Flagstaff Hill today which we have applied for and we are keeping everything crossed that we get it as the area just looks perfect. We have registered at medicare, sorted out our bank cards, purchased a car which we are due to collect next week, sorted out a temporary mobile phone number and registered OH with 6 different recruitment agencies. We are waiting until we get our long term rental before sorting out ambulance cover and other bills etc.

 

For anyone just about to come or making the move - I can HIGHLY recommend this place, it is clean, friendly, sunny, beautiful yet with the bustle of the CBD if you need it and our little toddler is just LOVING playing at the parks by the sea, they are clean, new, with drinking water available for free and with beautiful views for Mum and Dad to admire whilst she plays - beats being stuck indoors back at home once 5pm came! all in easy reach with gorgeous sunsets and easy-driving traffic.

Lovely start to your new life here - long may it continue. Even after 6 months we feel the same. It still seems a bit of a dream. We've been on Brighton, Semaphore, Port Noarlunga and Port Willunga beaches in the last week (no fish and chips though)

Fantastic, Tori. Good to know as our little girl is 2 next week and is at the very playful stage. We will hopefully be arriving in Adelaide toward the end of September or beginning of October. You'll have to meet up with Liz and let the 2 girls go wild on the play parks ;-)

Loved reading this post! Hellos spur me on with the application process! We are hoping to come in Jan but doubtful we will make the July deadline for visa, still hopeful it will be fine though. Love to hear another update x
