Possibly short 5 points for 176 visa?

Hi Guys,

 

Quick one, i currently have 50 points for the 176 visa and just sat the IELTS saturday.

I need 20 points in this so looking at band score of 8 across the four sections.

I dont feel confident that I got the 8, although i would be confident enough that

I will get 7 across the four sections. This would give me 60 points but obviously not enough.

Are DIAC any way lenient if you are short 5 points?

Sorry but they are quite strict about the points.

Yeh, you'll waste your application fee if you apply with 5 points short...we booked a few IELTS exams back to back just in case...I know that it's costly, but we couldn't afford to get our visa in late.

They have been known to let mothers out of the dungeon in as little as 5 years.

 

If you get to 60 points, you would probably have options.
