Nursing Jobs?

Hi!

 

Just wondering best places to look for nursing jobs in the Adelaide area??? Have looked on state website and various private health sites and there doesn't seem to be a lot advertised. Not keen on using an agency. Does that mean that nursing jobs are hard to come by in Adelaide? What's the job situation like??

Definitely harder to come by now. Lots of newly qualified nurses (who trained here) unable to get jobs so the gov. here trying to make sure that the 'home grown' are given priority. Also they have had a good look at the budget and see RN's as too expensive so there has been, and will be a growth of an EN's working alongside RN's in hospitals where previously they were mainly in nursing homes. That is not to say that there is no chance to get in here though, might just take a little more perseverence!

Hi,

If you have an area of speciality its sometimes worth contacting the manger of that area and letting them know about you, as they will know if any jobs are coming up. They do like experienced uk nurses!
