Just registered

Just like to say hello. We have just registered but have been reading messages for past few weeks since we discovered pia. Our 175 independant visa was sent by our agents on 5 March. I guess we have a long wait now from reading others timelines. We did however receive a receipt for application fee and a reference number on Thursday 14th March via email. Any ideas how long till asked to go for meds etc.

As soon as you have your file number you can go for your medicals... We got our acknowledgment/receipt/file number on Tuesday and went for our medicals on Friday...

As Amelia and Fred say you don't have to wait to be asked to do your meds. You will speed up the process if the meds and PCs are there for them to look at. Or you can wait for a CO, book them, wait for the date, then wait to have them delivered, wait to have them looked at by the Oz docs, wait for them to meet up with the rest of your Visa application. Only then will your application be sent to the decission maker. Also your PCs will take over a month to come through.

we are going on a 175 visa too we lodged our visa on-line and within 2 days they requested are meds and pc hope this helps ya,good luck gurl
