      hi ricky/to all 887 applicants,

this might be off the topic but i just want to ask if we are entitled to anything after submitting/applying 887? e.g medicare or centrelink? i am 475 visa sponsored by a relative, we'll be applying 887 in july 2013, just wondering.

      thanks a lot!

hi Mate , once you apply for 887 visa,.you are eligible for medicare benefit scheme. Any permanent visa is eligible for it. You need to bring your bridging visa acknowledgement to medicare office and they would grand you interim medicare card which would allow you full medical benefits as any medicare member.
you can register with centerlink too for job search purposes As well . However you would be eligible for social security payments after 2 years of permanent residency..... Cheers

I specified my all stay of India before arriving here. But apparently I had to describe my arrival till the date in Aus as well which I didn't as I thought its understood since I arrived here didn't visit back home and visa officers can retrieve that information.

Other thing I had to put my brother in "other family members" but I put him along with my parents details which is "non-accompanying family members". He is over 18 and married.

Bit curious how its going to effect my application? Visa officers going to take it non deliberate mistake as I did it myself and didnt take any help from any expertise or they going to take it as serious issue which going to effect on my application ?

      getting paranoid about it.

      any suggestions would be appreciated.
      Thanks
      Hi Vishim,

"Other thing I had to put my brother in "other family members" but I put him along with my parents details which is "non-accompanying family members". He is over 18 and married. "

You have put you brothers details in the right place ... I put two of my brothers details under the same catogory "non-accompanying family members"

" I had to describe my arrival till the date in Aus as well which I didn't as I thought its understood since I arrived here didn't visit back home and visa officers can retrieve that information. "

Dont worry about your date of arrival .. CO would have enough info about it and if they need more info they would contact you...

      Regards,
      Rajne

I am new to this forum but surfing this form from last 1-2 months.

      I applied my 887 visa on 28-June-2013 ( from 475 to 887)
      I uploaded the following documents

      1) For Residence: bank statements, health insurance letters received at my address, my superannuation letters, my car registration and Insurance etc as residence proof. I don’t have any lease as I lived on sharing with my friends.

      2) Job Proof: Pay slips, Job experience certificates and Income tax assessment certificates

      3) Form 80

      4) Passport pages, Driving Licence & pp size photographs

      5) AFP police check and Overseas Police clearance certificates

After lodging the application I uploaded these documents.

But now when I see my online progress of application it says that
      a) Form 1221 is required

Which I was not aware of

So please you people or some one who knows what should I do as I am not able to attach any more things.
What should I do? Should I fill, sign and scan the form and send as an attachment to immigration?
How I can attach this 1221 form online…

Very confused……and want to know what should I do?
Or whether I did all process right or this is my mistake ?

Please Give suggestions or shed some Light on my Path to help me

      Thanks
      Hi nidhi,

Form 1221 is not required for online application ( Brisbane processing centre )
When u read the info page ..
Form 1221 is only required for adielade processing centre ( Paper Application )

If would like to upload the file use this link
      http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/general-skilled-migration-attachments.htm
Or as ricky_hope suggested send them a email with filled form 1221 attached.

      Regards,
      Rajne
