Go to immi site for 489 visa which has replaced 475/487,
It states that"You must live, study and work in regional and low population-growth metropolitan area and comply with any residential conditions specified by the State or Territory government in your nomination"
Mostly there is a condition on visa which is 8539 for living in a regional area, not necessarily the regional area you got sponsorship from.
If you need to be safe just inform the leaving state or teritorry and they can issue you some letter.
I changed the regional area by myself from NSW to QLD and got a release letter from NSW regional area which nominated me for my 475.
Hope that helps
So you mean that I can go to a regional area of another state. Am I right?
I have tried to contact Immi several times, but the only things I received are just auto reply emails.
(it didn't help, just like a robot...)
How can I contact them and get a confirmation letter for moving?
I have read the visa conditions(8539) again, I suddenly have one more question.
I think I can move to another regional area EVEN BEFORE 887 application as long as
I live in a regional area.
What do you say about this?
Thanks in advance and have a good day.

Yes you can move interstate. What you need to do is
- Find your sponsorship letter , it could be form "R" or "S" which you used for your temporary residence Visa, their contact details
- send them an email stating your condition and would be good to send them your new Job letter, they will acknowledge it or most probably they would send you a "release letter" in reply
and yes you can move before applying for 887 as long as you stay in a regional area.Hope that will help and best of luck for your new job
I have just uploaded my docs. Instead of selecting one by one I selected other from the drop dpwn and mentioned applicant residence evidence etc. Will this be ok or do I need to attach one by one?
Hey Paki did you get yours approved?
