Congratulations to all new permanent residents specially 2013 applicants,
A development to share from my side:
I emailed my local federal MP last week and after 2 days got a phone call from his office. here is a brief:
1- All the details given by the MP were corresponding to my case's milestone so I got the impression that he had been contacting DIBP as a matter of fact. for instance he mentioned the date that my case had been referred to ESC.
2- Apparently DIBP is checking with external agencies on regular basis to see if an update is available and that they are doing these more frequently if the case has been referred for 1+ years.
3- DIBP had advised the MP that based on their experience with such agencies so far, most likely there will be no update in my case until at least the first anniversary of referral to ESC which means until at lease November 2015 plus there will be some time after that for DIBP to review the case and probably issue the visa. Given that I would be lucky if I get the Visa this side of the year.
4- DIBP had also made the point that since some time last year they are not referring all the cases from high risk countries to ESC due to the changes to their policies.
5- The MP then advised me to sit tight in the meantime and call him by the end of the year if didn't get a resolution by then.
Hope that helps people who are trying to seek assistance from their local MP.
475 to 887--- Application Date: 22 Aug 2014---Team 10 Request: 12 Nov 2014
No Team 13 Request so far---Referred to ESC: 23 Nov 2014---Grant 27th July 2015 Waiting time 11+ months
If you see all the timelines from other members, most of the cases regardless of the country of origin getting quicker grants specially those who applied july onwards , hope you get your grant soon

[QUOTE=applicant887;313037]Congratulations to all new permanent residents specially 2013 applicants,
You need to respond to your MP that I am already waiting.but is it a just procedure???Some guys are getting pr after few weeks with their changed policy and some have been locked in with no definite timeframe for release. It won't affect your application.but if MP puts this matter in parliament' at least ministers would be awared of such procedural anomaly.
