On checking the SA immigration site, in order to see if there was any news on my sponsorship application, I noticed it states they are currently reviewing applications submitted around the 30th October. My application went in on the 17th October but have yet to hear anything.

 

Does this mean my application is on hold or I have missed something? I was under the impression that applications take 12 weeks, which should mean early January, so am I just worrying unnecessarily?

If anyone can shed some light on this I would be most grateful.

My case is somewhat similar with yours. I submitted my application on 27Oct and still received no news. Maybe we will have good news when they are back after Xmas and New Year holiday.
