Advice on child's medical clearance for DIAC

Hi all,

I am waiting for medical clearance for my little one who has urinary reflux and has had urine infections in past. We have been given a v positive report from her paediatrician who plans to discharge her this year as she has not had any problems for nearly 2 yrs now and will just need BP checks now and then in the future. Does anyone have any knowledge of what medical conditions restrict visa applications and which are judged as being a ok to migrate?

Logically I think that my little one will not be a drain on medical resources and is v unlikely to need hospital care so may be seen as low risk. But am whittling about this..

I dont think that what you have posted will stop you from getting a visa, if you have given specialist reports at the medicals they should have the information then need to make an assessment.

I take it you have done your medicals and they have been referred. Referred medicals are currently taking 3 months to finalise, as there has a been a very big back log due to the changes with skill select.

Just need to wait, but I think everything will be fine, the cost over 5 years come to more than $100,000 is when there is problems of failing medicals.

Try not to worry, it is just a long wait.
