As of July 1st Public Interest Criterion 4020 has been added to all Family Visas, including those in processing.

 

DIAC has been picking up instances of fraud in respect of claimed family composition, claims / denial of partner relationships and age of applicants.

 

This criterion allows visas to be refused where false or misleading information is provided in a visa application.
