Issuing Visa over Xmas & New Year

Just wondering if visas will be issued over xmas and new year period or will they wait for Jan 2014 onwards??

 

Any comments would be appreciated.

Typically, a lot of Public Service offices close from Christmas to after New Year, or run on a skeleton staff. There are three public holidays there. For that reason I would say it is most unlikely whether they will issue visas, but the Dept is the only place you will get an absolute answer.

My daughter works the Govt and her office closes until after New Year.
