Only if you are onshore on a visa without a no further stay condition when you apply.

Sometimes when you apply for a visa they add conditions to it. The no further stay condition means you have to leave at the end of that visa. It is not very common but it sometimes added. More often if you have been over for a while before applying for the tourist visa etc.

Hi Charlie! it might be worth you chatting to a migration agent?......i thought there was a temp contributory parent visa but not sure of the rules etc
