Just wanted to share with you the news that my husband and I were granted a Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme Visa (subclass 187) yesterday at the ages of 56 and 57. We have been living in Adelaide for the past 18 months on a 457 visa. Obviously we were exempt from the age rule due to my husband's job and the whole process took just 2 months. "Oldies" take heart - Australia may not be out of your reach!
