Hi Charlie! You can get a visitor visa to come for 6 months, you won't need a medical at all

Sorry I meant we are applying for our 143 in the UK and going to OZ for six months so while we r away and we hear from our case officer that we have to go for medicals ca we have them in OZ while we r there or do we have to fly home to have them thanks

Would getting a visitor visa not invalidate your application?

No. The only way a tourist visa would make a difference for another visa is if it was granted AFTER a pr visa as then it would override the pr.

Yes you could have your medicals in oz.
