Aged 804 visa documents - Is birth certificate a must?

Dear Forum Members:

First I need to thank you all for providing valuable information. I have been following this forum and have learned a lot.

I am planning to apply for the Aged 804 when my parents visit next year.

My question to members who have applied for this visa for their parents is this.

"Is the my birth certificate a must or are passport bio-data pages sufficient to prove that they are my parents.?" I have other ID proof documents which have their name on them. Unfortunately I have lost my birth certificate.

Any help is greatly appreciated?

Thanks.

Chris

Hi Claire:

Thanks very much and have a fantastic new year.

Sorry to have been ambiguous. I was born in India and so getting a certificate is a pain from abroad. So I was wondering if I could avoid the birth certificate.

Hi Claire:

I did check with VFS. The problem there is that I now have an Australian Passport and my Indian passport has been cancelled. So I can't get that service from VFS.

Thanks again :)
