887 Non-migrating adult child question ??

Hi all,

 

We are in the process in completing our 887 visa application and have been asked to supply confirmation that our eldest & remaining child who lives and works in the UK, has had a UK police check, medical & copy of his birth certificate.

 

He is 25 and plans to join us in a few years once he has had a few more years of work experience.

 

My questions are, why does he need them if he is not migrating yet and what does this mean for him in terms of a visa/ sponsorship etc.

 

Would be grateful if anyone can help.

If he is a dependent family member he must satisfy the public interest (police and medical) criteria. From what you have posted, it seems that he not your dependant .

what i believe is: you might have mention your son either in accompanying or non-accompanying dependant on your 887 applicant.if your son is actually not on your previous visa file and you don't have any intention to add him in your 887 then fill form 1023(correction form) and add him to other family members.you will not be able to get grant if you put him in your 887.

Hi We are in the same situation that we r in process to completing our 887 visa application and our kids which is under 18 at overseas, so I am confuse that do we have to bring them here before submission of 887 visa or can we bring them after887 granted? I am on 489 visa , granted on 5 Aug 2014 and my kids got 489 as well.

Will be highly appreciated if anyone guide us.
