how do you know when you have a case officer?

A bit of a silly question but most of mine are!

How do you know when you have a case officer?

Do they send you an email or do you find out when you check the status of your application.

Our agent told us. Not sure how they know - I assume your online status changes or they contact you if you're a paper based application.

You find out when they ask you for PCs and meds. As you have frontloaded you may not here you have one unless they need more info. The next thing you may here is that the visa has been granted.

hi pete just checked our on-line application and it says

:application being processed further:

is this good news i know it dont mean we got a case officer BUT

is our case on someones desk getting looked at?

application being processed further means they are attaching your documents to your case. this means it will be with a case officer who will either request further docs or pass onto a desision maker. but be warned when notified that its with a desision maker doesnt mean it will be processed asap ours has been with a desision maker since the end of march!!! good luck with your visa application

thanks for that, we have done our meds and police checks just waiting for our sons meds to be finalised

wont hold me me breath though just wish this visa would be granted

david foned adelaide prossessing place this morning(VERY EARLY)

they said our file is about to be allicated to a case officer and most documents our with with them.

As anyone else done this or or they just sweet talking us

He did sound hopeful though;)

we are going on the 175 we lodged it 08/02/2008

We were never told we had a case officer, we sent off the final paperwork in june07 done the medicals and police checks before being told to in july 07 and got the call that we had the visa Oct 24th arrived in Dec, it not unusual not to be notified.

 

It will happen............

Had thought the back-log was soo slow that it might be Christmas before we get a CO. - Am all hypo now!!
