Medicals..

We have our medicals on 1st September and I'm getting more excited every day since I found out about my parents secret plans so what I want to know is why might we fail this medical just really any reasons why we'd fall at this hurdle.

Just be honest. OH broke hip in rugby accident in 1991. His were the last medicals to be cleared but still got there. Hope this helps.

I've got no medical history, It's not me I'm worried about.

We all passed our meds, but i smashed my leg up afterwards but before the visa was granted...actually had to beg C/O not to grant the visa as i couldnt travel for a minimum of 8mths, informed C/O just how bad the leg was smashed up, we got the visa days after we ok'd that it was ok to process to the C/O. Now happy in Adelaide.

 

OH had an issue at meds where radiographer took the xray at the wrong time indicating oh had an enlarged heart so had to see a specialist etc but thank fully all was ok.

I reckon I'll be shaking - I 'll be so nervous just dont want to fall at this hurdle.

You'll be fine, just try not to worry too much about it - easier said than done i know - but been in your shoes - terrified what was going to show up...drink plenty enroute to make sure your pee is nice and clear...

Myself and OH were so nervous - we drank heaps of water before we arrived, but saved a trip to the loo till we were asked to go. By this time we were bursting - given our sample bottles we were told to use the bathrooms at the end of the corridor. We raced down like Olympic runners and had to practically climb over each other to get in. It kind of broke the stress bubble as we had to laugh about it.

 

However, we were both very nervous as were the family before us in the same waiting room. It doesn't matter how many times folk tell you that you will be fine, the racing heart will still beat away. I had diagnosed myself with every condition known to man - but thankfully we were both fine. Doctor was very lovely and it was over in 10 minutes. It's just something we have to do. The worst bit is waiting for the results and the visa grants.

Ha, I know what you mean - I've done the same, but to my family as well.

 

In all seriousness though one member of the family is heavy smoker considering that there's nothing wrong with her should this matter?

O/H and I both are smokers and neither of us had any problems
