I know this question may have been asked many times before, but here goes:

 

Do region 2 UK dvd's play ok in oz?

 

Cos kids have got about 10 million of them and dont fancy the expenditure of kitting them out again.

I'm not a technology buff so perhaps someone else can give you more technical info. What I do know is that whenever I have visited my Mum in Adelaide and brought back DVD's for our kids that our DVD player has prompted us to reset the region. We can now play DVD's from both Adelaide and the UK on the same machine. Our DVD player is a cheap little machine from Currys. Hope this is of help.

We bought all our DVD's over and bought a cheap DVD player from Big W. All ours play without any problems, it seems the more you pay for a DVD player the more region sensative it is

We brought our DVD player from the UK to overcome this problem but have we also bought a Oz tv/dvd player and it can be set to play both.
