Just a Quick query.

 

From when your visa is approved, how long do you have to enter Australia?

Hi,

Think it depends on your visa. Our 136 was granted 1st April 08 and needs to be validated by 22nd Feb 09.

I thought it was within a year of the date of your medical.

Its based on the when you passed Meds & Police Checks.

One reason that many people delay their Meds & PC is to give them more time to validate.

 

Most people pre-load, knowing that they will have less time to validate.

 

I am not 100% sure, but I think it is 6 months from the meds/PC's

I think it is 12 months from the date of your police checks or your meds, whichever is sooner. So if one of these is say 15 December 2008, your will have until 15 December 2009 to enter Oz irrespective of when your visa may actually get issued. If you preload your police checks or meds & appear to be running out of time, it is possible to do them again obviously at your expense, but not if the visa has already been issued.
