VISA 457 to Permanent Residency??????

Hi guys, we're just waiting for our Temporary 457 visa to be approved(hopefully), wife and I got a job at lyell mc ewin hospital. Will somebody know if we are eligible to apply for a permanent residency in case we decided to stay in OZ? Our agency is O GRADY PEYTON and they said that the hospital can help us to apply for PR 3 months after we start our jobs. Dont know if its true. Anyone on the same situation before and now a resident of SA? Thanks.
