Who do you inform when leaving the UK?
Just wondering who we have to inform when we leave the UK?
I know its been answered many times, probably, but in this economic climate, has it made any difference to 'what is said to whom'?
Can we justify going on a temp visa that we may, ( although unlikely ), want to come back soon anyway?
Do we need to request Hospital / Dental / G.P. records as well ?
Sue David Sam
I don't know but whoever you tell, make sure they confirm that you told them if that makes sense before you go.
I am currently dealing with a huge pile of cr*p that has suddenly hit the fan due to the fact that people have got the information telling them we left, they admit they have it and yet they didn't/ haven't acted upon it. Don't you just lurve the UK?
Seem to be dealing with c---p all day long as well, at the mo!
Some of the reason why we are all trying to leave the UK we might thinK?
Lots of dilemas, but hopefully it will be worth it in the end!!
Hope to meet up soon.
Sue David (Sam:jimlad:) Worth it for him especially!!

I agree with Libby on this one - we had trouble for months after we left the UK with accounts we thought we had closed and finalised.
Do you have to inform the Tax office. We have a PR visa and are hoping to stay for good but wondered if we did decide to go back it would make it easier if we hadn't informed them - if you see what I mean?!?!?
We are on a temporary visa, so even more of a dilemma!
