I just wondered if anyone knew what the speech therapy provisions were like in au. We dont think it is covered on medicare so wondered if any one had any experience of cost/availibility ect.
We took pippa to the peadeatritons because we were worryed about her walking only to be told that was fine but her speech wasnt.
A friend of mine has a 4 year old son. At Kindy the teacher asked her if she'd had his speech checked out.
My friend went to the doctors and they had a referral booked for the following week.
I've not had any personally expereince but from what I know, S.A has a very good service for children. Its normally free to.
I've found this link for you, so you can enquire.
Flinders Hospital is our main hospital in Adelaide, so anything attached to that should be good.
Thanks for that one less thing to fret about:)
