IELTS - which one?
my local university has general and academic test dates, which one do i do? Is it the general one?
It depends on what you plan to do. I think most people sit the general one. As far as I am aware you only need the academic cert. if you are going into the education system in some capacity (although I have been known to be wrong ).
i took the general one
Hi, Its probably the general one, thats what we needed to boost our points

The general one is probaby all you will need for your visa and I don't know what score you need but ....... I'm sure you won't have any difficulty.
