Can anyone recommend a removal Company

Hi,

 

Finally got our visa just into the new year! Not had any luck selling house so we are renting it out. Need to find a removal company pretty quickly. Can anyone recommend a company they have used which provided good service and reasonable costs?

 

Can anyone give us an idea how much a half or full container may cost us?

Hi, we are moving next week and are using White & Co which were recommended through this site Full container was £3935 (20ft container) they also give 2 months free storage in England if required. Hope this helps.

There are previous posts on this - just put in removals into the search & it brings them up. Intersting read from people who have moved.

 

Haven't moved yet as still awaiting visa - but have just been getting quotes in:

Doree Bonner (very quick to reply & nice bloke, Very helpful, £3500 for 20ft container)

Bishop's Move (subcontract out - not overly impressed!)

PSS (Recommended on this website - £3400 - Man who came was quick to slag off

other companies and too busy telling me how good they were to be helpful!)

Anglo Pacific (Very helpful, nice bloke, £4100)

John Mason (Also recommeded on this website - coming this week - took ages to get back

to me)

 

Don't know if that is helpful. All have websites. Are you certain you only want to take 1/2 a container? If you can afford to to do a full one it can cut transit time!

John Masons 18 months ago - again liverpool branch for us, excellent service both ends, I would recommend.

 

would look at an alternative for insurance though, I had a friend who worked at a company specialising in marine insurance, so used her, - her company is spedding goldthorpe, but have heard letton percival recommended,

Hi we also used John Mason, excellent service can't fault them upto now, our container is on its way at the moment due in Adelaide 5th March, will let you know how we go on.

We have chosen John Masons after reading so much about them on this website, they certainly seem very professional and are very flexible with their prices. We did have others round to quote but they were so expensive, Crown in Leeds were £4,000 for a 20ft shared container and John Masons are giving us are own 20ft container for £2,900. Can't say what they are like from the other end but they come highly recommended.

Thanks for all that info. We have Anglo Pacific coming on Thursday and will probably get in touch in John Masons (as they seem quite popular) and perhaps one more just to get an idea.

 

We are not sure if we can fill a full container as we have not got that much!

 

Will let you know how we get on.
