Hey guys

we arrived in Sydney a week ago, brilliant!

Just thought would fill you in on some stuff we have discovered so far......

 

1. It appears that anyone on the 457 visa who has a new chipped passport no longer needs to get it evidenced in their passport, even though the paperwork from the immigration office says you have to!! We discovered this after sitting at the immigration office for 2 hours yesterday!!

 

2. Medicare will only be issued for 3 months at a time.

Welcome, hope your enjoying the big city!

 

Might get the last bit of info checked, as under the RHCA (reciprocal agrrement) your medicare card is issued for the length of your visas.
