Motor Mechanic vetasses
Hi just after some info,
has any one done the vetasses practical test for motor mechanic light vehicle?
If so what did it involve on the day please,
thanks for your help
I attended the February practical for light motor mechanic. It was a relaxed day, the assessors were so laid back. On the day i had to remove & refit a timing belt, remove a suspension leg and drive shaft, test & report on the cooling system. in the afternoon it was more electrical, testing engine sensors with a multimeter, remove and test a fuel injector. As the day goes along the assessors do ask you alot of questions to test your in depth knowledge.
Good luck when you do your test

Hi thanks for the info, we are of to oz for hol in May then when we get back hope to start the ball rolling Ie sending of certificates etc for vetasses.
Fingers crossed it will be straight forward!
When you do the test do you need to know it all as at work we dont touch auto gear boxes at all and dont strip down manual ones ,and most of our diagnosis is done on laptop you plug in to obd socket not by using multi meters ?
