I have just commenced a new job at Queen Elizabeth hospital and they allow you to have 2 weeks hols for every four month worked which is good.
I used to work at Flinders and they gave me the holidays you can only ask your manager.
P.s Sorry I never answered your question, there are plenty of jobs for nurses like everyone has said.
If you want or need flexibility then agency work is good, my husband works with NASANSB and does not have a problem he likes it,it suits.
He works 4 shifts a week.
The agency suits some people I wouldn't rule it out as it has it's advantages. My husband has worked with the agency for four years now and it suits.
I am also a nurse however i prefer the continuity of the same place. It depends on your own circumstances and what suits.
Loads of jobs out there you can choose anywhere.
;) Hey Hey !! thanks for all the advice! just had a phone interview and had a skype interview yesterday, fingers crossed now. I agree its better to e-mail the hospitals directly and look on the SA gov jobs site.
