Tax on second job?

Your total income is put together and your are taxed at the going rate on both incomes less your deductions. I would suggest you get your tax done by an agent so they can explane to you in more detail and assist in completeing the return

I always thought second jobs were taxed at something like 45% or thereabouts. That's been my experience, when I've had two or three jobs at the same time, one being full time and two part time. Your primary job is the only one you claim the tax free threshold on. Your second employer has to tax you at a higher rate. It's all set out here .........
