Which Bank

My plan to day is to decide what australian bank account to open. Any offers of recomendation would be good. Would really like to get it sorted.

I'll start the ball rolling then! Commonwealth Bank have been pretty good. They have a specialised migrant banking representative in Adelaide too who seems highly spoken of.

Hi,

 

We chose NAB, sorted our accounts before we left the UK. Our account was opened prior to our arrival. Once we got here a lady called Debbie Ballantine at NAB king William street, could not have been more helpful. She changed our accounts to suit us handed our bank cards over to us. Got me set up on internet banking. Even entertained the kids whilst we were talking to different people there.

 

We got our credit cards and opened bank accounts for the kids, at our local branch in Norwood, again lady called Kate and guy called Amier were very helpful.

Really I can't fault them.

Hi there

We have it with Westpac. Opened in the UK, validated it in Adelaide, and the fee was waived for the first six months.

We started with Westpac but then changed to ANZ and haven't regretted doing so. Staff great & Internet banking very user friendly.

We used Adelaide Bank or is it now called Bendigo Bank....very nice staff in Collonades and very good service too....
