The Bank of England announced yesterday that they will keep interest rates on hold at 0.5%.
There were some suggestions that they make take this opprotunity to lift rates slightly to try and curb inflation but obviously felt that it is still to early to do so. If rates had of risen this could have strengthened the pound again slightly which has already picked up due to the recent Queensland flooding.
The last time there was a movement in interest rates was back in March 2009! How much longer can they remain at this level?
