changing sterling

Hi.

I have some sterling that relatives have sent to the kids for Xmas. Where is the best place to change it to Aussie dollars? Any suggestions?

Best place for cash we found is Travel Money at the Mosely SQ end of Jetty Rd in Glenelg.

......... check out the rates first - its gone down over 9 cents since Christmas (£1 = 1.47 now and it was 1.56) you will get even less when you exchange it sadly

We usually keep the cash and give the kids the Aus $$ equivilent to save paying the fees

Then send the pounds back for rellies birthdays ect or when one of us go back.

Depends on your circumatances i s'pose.

Yeah the exchange rate is a bit of a bummer to be honest, and we have been exchanging money for the kids for a few years now so we have a build up. As we have no plans to go back to the UK it makes sense to cash it in. Just wish the exchange rate was a bit better....

We used to do that.... By decided to send money via PayPal for birthdays as its safer than cash in the post!!
