To be fair, it can't be as bad as the UK, at least people are still spending money here. Thank god for the mining projects. :)

I think as well the Aussie recession will be a 'normal' recession if you know what I mean.

 

The UK is showing no sign of improving and the cuts that continue for the next 5 years at least are a sign of that light at the end of the tunnel is getting smaller and smaller :-/

To be fair, British data has been healthier on the whole than Aussie data recently, hence the upsurge in exchange rates.

 

Neither economy is looking in a great place, but at least Australia has more it can do to combat recession - lowering interest rates etc.

I'm in the UK at, and people are still spending money here.Actually where I am you would'nt know there was even a recession on!lol I don't know anyone out of a job,loads of people around shopping,going OS for holidays and so on.I know other area's of the UK have been hit badly though.
