Hi Folks,

I have been at work for 4 weeks and not yet ready to see a financial adviser about my pensions etc.

However, I have been asked what fund to put my super in.

Of course it is just starting adn there is very little money to put in it and also none are doing very well !!

What have others done ? who are they with ??

any info would be greately appreciated.

thanks :notworthy:

I'd second the Statewide recommendation. I handle the Super payments from work and the Statewide staff are always very helpful and efficient too. I think I have money in three Super funds now (new years resolution to put them all into the one!) so if you start with one and change your mind, it's not a real issue (apart from losing a bit in "Handling fees"!) Depending on your line of work, look for an Industry Super that specialises in that as their charges and fees tend to be lower.

Quite a long article on the Radio News this morning about there being too many Super funds in Australia, and that there needs to be a lot of coming together in the near future, as the cost of the boards who run them are disproportionate to many of their sizes, meaning too much money is going out to the directors. Sound financial advice is almost certainly the way to proceed.
